Dormouse breaks the rules
in the Mammal Forums forums move of the British Wildlife category; Dormouse displays unusually bold behaviour - telecommunicate...
wow thats different, fancy a doormouse going to such lengths to feed,i didnt change surface realise they would go in someones tend let alone climb up a pole to get the nuts, only ever seen one in my life and that was in a place in chelmsford called bunnys go,he was on the river bank, but soon shot off when he saw us coming, plus we had a dog with us.
Hi,I'm sure I've seen a program about edible doormice being a protected species and were spreading by some square miles a year they were eating anything in peoples houses including wireing and the householders were by law unable to comprehend them. Max.
When you think you are starting to understand a species.. it goes and does something like this
I was in a Forestry plantaion in Usk. And i noticed some abandoned Beehives. I had to have a nose. I lifted the lid on one and there was a Dormouse fast asleep in a nest. And the habitat seemed inapropriate for this species. that is if you act certain literatures as gospel !!
